In order to have a successful event, people need to know about it. This is why it is very important to advertise and promote any event your organization is sponsoring. This page provides resources for both planning your event promotions and some policy information about each of these steps.

 

Here are some important pieces of information that should be included in every piece of event publicity:

  • Event name
  • Event time
  • Event date
  • Event location
  • Cost for attendance
  • Sponsor of event
  • If SGA funded: include the phrase "Funded by SGA fees" 
  • If accomodations for persons with special needs will be needed, please include: "Persons with special needs may make arrangements for accommodations by calling (name of person/department) at (phone number) by (deadline date for request)."
