Welcome to the Bridgewater State University

Student Organization Handbook

This website has been designed as an online home for the most updated club and organization resources that our department can offer.  As this site is newly developed, please be sure to let us know if you find areas that need correction or expansion by clicking here.

Student Organization Policy statements

Need a reminder about what it means to be a recognized organization at BSU?  This section reviews the policy from the Student Handbook about what it means to be a recognized student organization on campus. In addition, please review the policy statements relating to co-sponsorship of events.

Your Organization

Understand the basic responsibilities for your organization and how to stay in good standing with the college. You will also find great resources for planning and understanding your group's roles on campus.

Starting a New Club or Organization

Want to start a new group?  All it takes is 2 students and an application submission on the Involvement Network site.  This page will explain it all!

Organization Technology

Student organizations have a great deal of technology needs and resources available.  Be sure to review this section to understand relevant policies and processes for your group.

On-Campus Events

OSIL plays a big role in events that your group will sponsor.  Review this very important section to understand the requirements and steps involved with planning successful events.

Off-Campus Events

Off campus events can also be great opportunities for student organizations.  Similar to the on campus events, all student organizations are required to plan events through OSIL.

Finances

Whether your group gets money through the SGA funding process or just maintains income from fundraising events, OSIL is responsible for taking care of your finances.

Publicity

Great events and great organizations aren't worth much if no one knows about them!  Check out this link for resources about how to publicize your events and your organization.

Vendors

Looking for the right company to work with for supplies that you need? We have the listing.
